Protection of Your Privacy
Any information we receive from you, primarily your e-mail address and shipping information, is strictly for our own use in doing business with you and is never circulated to any third parties under any circumstances except as necessary to process and ship your order. On occasion we will send you an e-mail to inform you about new products here at The Professional Cookware Place, and to let you in on our latest discounts and special sales; you will always have the option to opt out of further e-mail contacts if you prefer. 

Our site uses Secure Sockets Layering (SSL) to encrypt your information, including credit card numbers, before it travels over the internet. SSL technology is the industry standard for secure online transactions. SSL provides security comparable to giving your credit card number over the phone or using it in person.

Minimum Order Size
We regret that, due to the combination of our low prices and the cost of order processing, we are unable to accept orders with an order value less than $25 (net sales amount before shipping and any tax). 

Methods of Payment
The quickest and easiest way to shop with us is to use our checkout system,  and pay with your credit card or PayPal.  If for any reason you prefer not to use that method, we will be happy to take your order through our toll free number or by mail using your credit card.  If you prefer to pay by check, you can print out your checkout page and send it to us with your check, or you can order by phone.  If you pay by check, however, shipment will be delayed while waiting for the check to clear.

Sales Tax
We collect sales tax only for shipments to addresses in North Carolina.  Customers located in other jurisdictions may consult their local use tax laws for further information.

Timing of Credit Card Charges

Your credit card will be charged only when your order is shipped.  In the case of multiple shipments, we will normally charge your card at the time of the initial shipment unless the majority of the merchandise is delayed, in which case we will contact you.  Special orders are handled on a case-by-case basis.

Shipping and Handling
We ship from our own location and several manufacturers' locations, to customers all over the country.  Some orders require more than one shipment, and different manufacturers have different shipping policies.  As a result, the actual shipping and handling cost can vary, for reasons unrelated to you, the customer, who shouldn't be bothered with any of this in the first place.

Consequently, for fairness and simplicity, we have adopted a uniform across-the-board shipping policy, as follows.  For any order with a net order value less than $75, we charge a flat $12.95 for shipping and handling.  For orders from $75 to $150, we reduce the shipping and handling fee to $9.95.  For orders above $150, shipping is FREE.

The above shipping policy applies to standard ground transportation, generally by UPS or FedEx, going to any point in the 48 states.  If your shipment is going to a place outside the 48 states, or you want premium transportation, please contact us and we will work with you to make the best arrangement.

Tracking
Upon shipment, we will supply you with the tracking number via your e-mail address so you can track the progress of your shipment if you wish.  The bottom of this Customer Service page has a box offering the capability for you to check the status of your shipment using the confirmation number.

Delivery Time

We make our best effort to get your shipment on its way to you no later than the next day, for arrival within a few days, and generally within 5 or 6 days, possibly slightly more on the West Coast.  However, stocking is an imperfect science, both for us and our suppliers, and sometimes there will be a back order or other unavoidable delay.  If this affects anything you have ordered, we will contact you, and you will have the option to continue or cancel if you choose.  If we have to split a shipment, any additional shipping expenses will be for our account and the total shipping charges to you will not be affected.  We pledge to always keep you aware of what’s going on and do everything possible to insure your satisfaction.

Damaged Goods Return Policy
We make our best effort to pack well so there are no problems.  The goods should be inspected immediately upon receipt.  In the event of damage or shortage, the recipient must note the problem on the acceptance paperwork with the carrier (UPS, FedEx, etc.) or by prompt notification to the carrier through its established procedures, and us through the contacts provided on this site. In the case of extensive damage the shipment should be refused, or if accepted the paperwork signed by the customer should contain the notation "accepted in damaged condition."  We will work with you and the carrier to satisfy any claim, and will replace any bona fide damaged goods provided proper procedures are followed. We reserve the right to apply our sole judgment regarding adjustments in the case of damage or shortage without prompt and proper notification.

Other Returns
We realize that sometimes buyers change their minds.  Returns of merchandise at the buyer's option will be accepted as follows:  (1) we must be contacted by you within 30 days of receipt to issue a return authorization number (RAN): no returns will be accepted without prior issuance of a RAN; (2) the RAN must be affixed to the box in which the return is made; (3) the goods must be returned in new, unused, and resalable condition, with all original enclosed printed materials and packaging; (4) buyer is responsible for return shipping charges; (5) a 20% restocking fee, minimum of $10, will apply.   Final acceptance of the return is at our sole discretion.  If the return is due to an original error on our part, shipping and restocking fees do not apply.  Sales of clearance and special items are final, and no returns are accepted.

Warranties
All of our manufacturers warrant their products, and these vary depending on the product.  If you have a warranty issue, please contact us first and we will provide guidance with regard to warranty claims for your product, including interceding with the manufacturer as needed.   Your satisfaction is our number one priority, and we pledge to do everything we can to insure you are satisfied with your purchase now and for years to come.
